I took a photo to show you - the lighting came out extremely flattering. It's a Christmas miracle. I do not look this good.
I took some in the salon when I was getting it chopped, so stay tuned for that story and an honest photo.
I hope you are all having a great Christmas, as I am. I got the entire Sex and the City series on DVD now so I don't plan to leave my house for a month.
And, I can finally see the year where Samantha gets breast cancer. I'm sure she looks fabulous.
oh they did a very good job with Samantha's BC in SITC. But you should then also watch the movie made later. IT has a great follow up to the whole BC part in it. You look great. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome! Hope to see you next week...
ReplyDeleteHi Ann - glad to hear you are having a great Xmas. Sadly I am having a terrible time. My new Killer Chemo is ... well ... killing me I think. Spent yesterday and today in bed with chest and throat infection - no voice - so can't even shout at the kids. Horrid rash on chest and face too.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of taking photo of me but keeping it until next year - when hopefully look back and say that was crappy Christmas 2009 ... don't I look great in 2010! Too be truthful I couldn't look any worse!! LOL!
Festive greetings!! Paula
Paula, I'm so sorry your new chemo is making life hard for you. Staying in bed on Christmas must have been so hard. Hope you are up and about soon.
ReplyDeleteCaroline, I did see the SATC movie - twice in fact. But, I don't even remember that they talked about Samantha's cancer - it wasn't on my radar screen at the time.
That is a great pic! Short hair is really flattering on you!
ReplyDeleteAnn! I love the short hair (I know it's only temporary), but it's looks fantastic on you!! And when it starts to grow back it will be like that again! Woo Hoo. I agree 1000% with Vicki.
ReplyDeleteLighting is amazing. This hair looks horrible, truly bad. Not suitable.
ReplyDeleteI'll show you a real photo - just wait. :)
Well, in this pic at least, you look totally badass.
ReplyDeletetruly inspirational - i start chemo jan 5 already planned to shave it on the 12th- im so scared of chemo- the mastectomy was bad enough- how can i endure more...
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - you can do it! There are also things you can do to make it easier on yourself - I'll put up a list for you of things that helped me - and many others too.
ReplyDeleteany tips will help- i look forward to seeing your updated post:) thank you
ReplyDeletefunny thing is, as horrible as this hair seems now, when it's growing back after you're done with chemo it'll be similar in ways and you'll think it's just fabulous. :) mine just started growing back and isn't as long as yours is now and is probably much worse looking than yours but i'm thinking it rocks because it's on its way back. you're beautiful though, no matter what your hair looks like.
ReplyDeleteI did another video to show you all my fuzzy chicken look and to prove it doesn't look nearly as good as that photo - and when I check it - the padding from my bra was laying on my shirt. LOLOLOL! I'm not brave enough to show that though, I'll have to try again. :)
